To our FUNDI community,

As the year comes to a close, we at FUNDI want to thank you.
2025 was a year of conversations, ideas, challenges, and learning. It was also a year of tremendous generosity from people like you, who gave us your time, resources, questions, and interest.

FUNDI seeks to transform the disability landscape in Latin America by bringing best-in-class knowledge and resources from the United States and adapting them to local culture and needs.

Our Achievements in 2025

Throughout 2025, we transformed FUNDI’s vision into a concrete project in motion. Some of this year’s key milestones include:

• We defined the model for a fulfilling life: a comprehensive approach for adults with intellectual disabilities that combines supported independent living, a residential program, and a day program within a safe, inclusive, and community-centered environment.

• We designed the campus: our architecture, urban planning, and landscaping teams created an accessible, biocentric space focused on sensory, emotional, and social well-being.

• We developed the operational and financial models: we advanced partnerships with multiple entities, families, and the private sector to ensure sustainability, scalability, and replicability.

• We created and consolidated FUNDI’s identity: our mission, values, and brand that reflect warmth, professionalism, and a deep commitment to inclusion.

• We kickstarted a growing network of allies: experts in disability, health, education, public policy, and private enterprise who made FUNDI what it is today.

All of this was built through many conversations, and the collaboration of people like you.

What’s ahead for 2026

In 2026, our priority will be to progress the FUNDI campus infrastructure. All the work completed in 2025 - research, design, and validation with experts - allowed us to plan in detail and ensure the project is one of the leading examples in the region.

At the beginning of 2026, we will start construction of the first phase of the campus, and during the first quarter of the year we will hold the official groundbreaking event, a key milestone for our community.

In parallel, we will launch a pre-operational phase with program pilots, protocol validation, and team training plans, so the FUNDI model begins to take shape even before the campus opens. By 2028, we will be fully operational.

Throughout 2026, we will also continue the Friends & Family fundraising phase, which enabled the project’s first steps. We will also open participation to families with individuals interested in living at FUNDI. In the second half of 2026, we will invite companies, organizations, and non-profits to join as strategic partners in building an innovative, sustainable, and replicable model of inclusion and independent living.

In addition, 2026 will be a key year to deepen four strategic programs:

1. Support and management software: a digital tool to organize personalized support, routines, communication with families and teams, and coordination between our programs.

2. Independent living with support: further developing a flexible supported-housing model that allows people with intellectual disabilities to build their own life, with safety, community, and purpose.

3. Intellectual disability network: promoting a network that connects families, professionals, organizations, municipalities, and companies interested in creating more and better inclusion opportunities across Latin America.

4. FUNDI Research: developing a research stream that generates data, evidence, and best practices on independent living, community inclusion, and support models, so FUNDI also contribute knowledge to the broader ecosystem.
